I met you for the second time on Saturday, Sept. 19, 2026 at Rob's birthday celebration. I asked "Are you Paul?". I now chuckle at your response - "I've been called that". It was our second meeting. The first time was Aug. 9, 1975 when the Grand Theater in Ellsworth was re-opened. The editor at the Tuesday Weekly and I were on stage to photograph you with the audience behind you. I'm pretty sure we ran the photo on the front page of the following Tuesday's issue. Later that year I went on to work at The Ellsworth American and later met Rob while he worked so diligently to prolong Russell's career and life happiness. Rob is an amazing guy that also worked with my Mom in her later years. Thank you for everything you've done for Downeast Maine. WERU is my favorite local station!
