Big fan of the music since I was a kid in the 60's. Great stuff! How about a tab or music sheet here and there. I figured you use drop D tuning on Miracles. LOVE THIS SONG. Cant find sheet music anywhere. You think as a musician I could figure it out. Okay, well not a musician but I play the guitar. Ummmmm alright alright I am a guitar owner. Anyway would love to get the chords to play this wonderful song.

sorry, robert...i'm a woefully untrained guitar player and many of the chords i play are 'discovered' because they seem right and honestly i wouldn't have a clue how to render them onto paper (most of them up the neck with a lot of open strings). pleased you appreciate the song...perhaps you're on the road to discovery as well!

Thank you, Noel, for your song "Early in the morning." It has become quite a blessing to me this year. I want to have a way to rejoice in the Lord every day, so I sing along with it driving to work. I am getting better at reaching the high note! The song is only a little older than I am. I love its energy, and how complete it is even though only a minute and a half long. It's my current favorite song and likely will be for a long time. Brad Martel, Knoxville, Tennessee

In the mid-'70s, a friend taught me a song he said he got from a cousin of NPS. I've never been able to verify this. I love the song and wish to share it, but want to make sure I give credit to the writer. The words begin: "I was wondering if you had been to the mountain to look at the valley below..." Is this one of Mr. Stookey's creations?

Hello. Just dropped by from Northern Minnesota to say thank you. Yesterday, as I considered the great many friends and families I know that are, at this time, “Rolling their eyes heavenward and saying “I can’t do this alone” and how frequently I have shared “Turn it Over to the Father” with them, I felt a quick note of appreciation was overdue. Thanks for continuing to employ your gift. Kind regards, Bruce Schultz

Greetings from a life long fan of PP and M. (I started listening when I was about 12 years of age and am now 62!) I have been listening to your album Fazz, and it reminds me of a combination of your folk style with a bit of James Taylor and the late Harry Chapin thrown in. Here's hoping you have much more to write about. Please don't stop.

Being a fan of folk and folk rock almost all of my life, for some reason I discovered the rich musical heritage of Peter, Paul and Mary only a few years ago, after which they quickly became the major act in my playlists, even among such strong "competition" as e.g. the Kingston Trio or Joan Baez. It was their style and spirit that made me, well in my 40ies, try and start with singing myself - admittedly much to the detriment of the folks who have to endure it, but nevertheless to my own enjoyment 😀 This became even more... It was their style and spirit that made me, well in my 40ies, try and start with singing myself - admittedly much to the detriment of the folks who have to endure it, but nevertheless to my own enjoyment 😀
This became even more true after I had to quit my 20+ year career as a dancing teacher, with singing enabling me to still actively experience music in another way.

Thus, I was very pleased to learn that Noel Paul is well and even still performing. I listened to some of his more recent recordings and liked them very much as well.
So, to say it with ABBA: Thank you for the music!

All the best and greetings from Vienna, Austria!... Collapse

hi bill! pretty sure that was bruce langhorne who came up with that signature lick on EARLY MORNING RAIN. sweetheart of a guy with barely 3 fingers on his right hand. he was a monster player for a lot of folks in the 60's - you can see him in newsreels playing with odetta @ the lincoln memorial during the civil rights march. understand there's a documentary on him in the works.

A few weeks ago I binge watched Peter Paul and Mary concerts, and this isn't the first time I've done this. I researched the group . Each individual of the group is unique in their own way. After I learned there was a website from you, I had to go there. I loved folk music in my teens and still do in my mid sixties. These concerts still gave me chills to watch. Thank you for inviting me to your guest book. You're amazing still.... even if you HAVE NEVER BEEN KISSED!.. one of my many favorite songs.

It's really great to have so many P,P&M concerts available to see, (let alone binge watch,) and still have such an effect on good folks like you, Teresa. Glad you were able to navigate to the website and sign the guestbook. And thanks for your kind words, too.

Will never forget seeing you live in Presque Isle, ME in May of 1978. Went home determined to learn guitar & did. Started music ministry the next February and am still at it 43 years later! Can’t thank you enough for the inspiration (kick in the pants!).

I just listened to the wonderful interview with you at https://dittytv.com/radio/ and ordered Fazz. Noel, I can't tell you how significantly you have impacted my life from 10 year-old me to 67 year-old me. You have been both a musical and spiritual mentor to me in many ways. So much gratitude. Looking forward to the new record.

Yes, that DittyTV interview was quite good. It always helps when the host is a musician and can appreciate things like the craftsmanship of a David LaPlante guitar. And thanks for expressing your gratitude for Noel's influence. I know it means a lot to him. Hope you like the new music, Roger.

Thank you for the decades of music and created memories. Have seen you several times and enjoyed each experience. I know the only path is forward for us all, but it gives me comfort to know that musicians like you continue to give so much pleasure and recollection of years gone by that often held better days. Music can be the beauty we all look forward to remembering and hold dear in our hearts. What is the most challenging part of creating new music?

...appreciate the encouragement. the most challenging aspect of songwriting is staying out of the way. seriously. of course there's some degree of 'interpretation' required but honestly, if an idea or concern presents itself musically and has merit, it pretty much writes itself.

I learned to play in 1964 by the Peter, Paul and Mary guitar book. Had to purchase a 2nd on Ebay because I wore it out. Loved Bodyworks and have seen you, body works, the trio and the duo many many times. And yes, when you and Peter perform, you can hear Mary. You just can. Thank you for the love of God that shines through you, Noel. You are truly a blessing.

Very nice to see such a dedicated guitar player making use of multiple copies of the P,P & M guitar book. Sounds like you've followed the many facets of Noel's long career over the years. Also nice to know his comment in concerts with Peter, about hearing Mary, resonates with you as well. And thank you for your warm regards, Emma Lee.

Hello Noel. I have enjoyed your music (and humor) for 55+ years. I was fortunate enough to have seen PP&M in concert numerous times in Southern Calif. and Las Vegas. Thanks to Shelly, we were able to come back and say hi after most of them. You won't remember, but after the concert in Escondido, CA, you came over to my family and called my daughters by name (thanks to an email I had sent you a few days before). It totally blew them away. and is something that they never forgot. I wish you much continued success and happiness.

You are nothing short of amazing! Peg and I used to see PP&M all over the country. She's gone on with Mary but I'm still here. Still enjoying your music, old and new. In These Times, Jean Claude, too many to list. Things are so different now with age and covid, but you're a constant in my world. Thank you.

Thanks for the generous compliment, Kathy. The music has really held up well over the years. So much of the early work still sounds fresh and meaningful as exemplified with the tracks on FAZZ:Now & Then. Hopefully covid will be in the rear-view mirror soon. Thanks for keeping Noel and his music as part of your world.
