My wife and I heard you at the Blue Hill Cong church on July 30. We were vacationing in Blue Hill the month of July, and the concert was the highlight. It was great, inspirational, both historical and new. Thanks for the great evening.

In the mid-'70s, a friend taught me a song he said he got from a cousin of NPS. I've never been able to verify this. I love the song and wish to share it, but want to make sure I give credit to the writer. The words begin: "I was wondering if you had been to the mountain to look at the valley below..." Is this one of Mr. Stookey's creations?

Hello. Just dropped by from Northern Minnesota to say thank you. Yesterday, as I considered the great many friends and families I know that are, at this time, “Rolling their eyes heavenward and saying “I can’t do this alone” and how frequently I have shared “Turn it Over to the Father” with them, I felt a quick note of appreciation was overdue. Thanks for continuing to employ your gift. Kind regards, Bruce Schultz

Greetings 'Good and faithful servant'. I always felt that NPS and I have lived parallel lives from: when I was given a signed copy of 'Lemon Tree' in a Toronto department store as a young teenager; playing guitar in a folk/harmony group as a later teenager (PP&M were a major part of our repertoire); committing my life to Jesus in my 20s; playing and singing 'Wedding Song' at a few weddings; meeting you at Greenbelt (I live in the UK); using 'Peace in the Valley' in evangelism (and other 'Bodyworks' songs). I am now in the process of learning 'Nukes are Nuts' for a Peace concert at my Church (I am a Deacon).
I just wanted to say you have been a constant in my life and I am proud to call you 'Brother'
Bless you.

Thanks for signing the guest book, Nick, and sharing some of the highlights of your similar journey. Glad to hear of all your good work over on that side of the pond. And bless you as well!

Greetings from a life long fan of PP and M. (I started listening when I was about 12 years of age and am now 62!) I have been listening to your album Fazz, and it reminds me of a combination of your folk style with a bit of James Taylor and the late Harry Chapin thrown in. Here's hoping you have much more to write about. Please don't stop.

thanks, art for the encouraging word. seems we live in a time of constant comment (isn't that a 'tea'?) so lately i've been keeping my musical remarks brief. i DID renew my appreciation for the talking blues with an upcoming musical version of the 187 lyric: somewhere on this site. video next!

I first met you in 1980 at a concert you did for my school in Portland I have followed you and admired you over the years as did my father. In 2018 he was dying of colon cancer and became so weak he no longer wanted to talk but instead wanted me to play and sing for him.... I played your songs as best as I could and he was happy. I just wanted to thank you for giving us the gift of a peaceful passage. I am sure I am not the only one with a story like this... Read more

Loved your concert Friday night at Stone Mountain Arts Center. Would love to see a copy of your 187 poem to share with friends who weren't able to make it.

hi loraine! happy to have shared the stone mountain evening with you! the 187 poem should be posted somewhere on this site within the week though i'm still hoping someone in the audience took me seriously when i asked them to video it's 'premiere' so it might be you-tubeable. n

We had the pleasure of attending last night's Stone Mt. concert and got to sit right up front! It was wonderful. Afterwards, we had a brief chat, you signed my CD. I talked to my daughter today: she attended Four Winds Camp on Walker Pond for a number of summers and did a lot of sailing out of Bucks Harbor, where she met one of your daughters! Melissa is now 43, so this is 30 (ouch) years ago. Your daughter was working at the BHYC. One of life's 6 degrees of separation! As I said to you, you are blessed... Read more

hi mary, thanks for the memory and i suspect it was camp 4 winds where our girls met: kate was a counselor there for several years after attending herself. n ps / if you knew anybody who took a video of the poem 187 at stone mountain, please have 'em contact me here as i'd love to post it!

Noel, Wow! I heard Comeaway Suite when you were traveling with the Band and Bodyworks; Sacramento, I think. It was a reality punch then and no less relevant and pertinent now! We are all companions on the journey to the Love Of Us All. Thank you for reminder of the path. Dave

Being a fan of folk and folk rock almost all of my life, for some reason I discovered the rich musical heritage of Peter, Paul and Mary only a few years ago, after which they quickly became the major act in my playlists, even among such strong "competition" as e.g. the Kingston Trio or Joan Baez. It was their style and spirit that made me, well in my 40ies, try and start with singing myself - admittedly much to the detriment of the folks who have to endure it, but nevertheless to my own enjoyment 😀 This became even more... This became even more true after I had to quit my 20+ year career as a dancing teacher, with singing enabling me to still actively experience music in another way.
Thus, I was very pleased to learn that Noel Paul is well and even still performing. I listened to some of his more recent recordings and liked them very much as well.
So, to say it with ABBA: Thank you for the music!
All the best and greetings from Vienna, Austria!

What a lovely story Manuel?! So wonderful to hear you've been inspired to keep involved with music. Also borrowing from ABBA, "Without a song or a dance, what are we?" Thank you so much for sharing your story and signing the guest book. bleib gesund ~ David

I have so enjoyed you over the years from Alpine Valley, Ravinia, etc., with PPM and then Madison, WI, Stockton, IL, etc. I moved to Florida and feared I would never see you or Joe Jencks again this far south in "Trumpland." Just had the wonderful fortune to see the incredible Joe last week in Sarasota - what a delight! Any chance of you making a tour stop or specially scheduled stop in Florida? Sure am missing you in concert... Please remember us down here! PS - Fazz is awesome!

Thank you for signing Noel's guestbook Sue. Since you mention Joe, did you notice that he contributed the electric Bouzouki part on the "Ukrainian Now" video? Glad to hear you like Fazz. Thanks again.

Can't say enough in gratitude for your joyful impact in my life and now in my young-adult children's lives. What a monumental legacy of the best kind! Was it you or Peter who keenly observed about mags reflecting devolution, from "Nat Geo" & "LIFE," then to "People," then "US," then "SELF"? I have to add: unfortunately, we didn't stop! Now we're down to "selfies."

oh carolynn! i'd forgotten about my routine regarding the de-evolution of magazine titles - from Life to People to Us to ME!!! i'm still hoping that self-centeredness will ultimately (and politically) be tempered by our common humanity and respect for one another.

Hi Kevin. If that Gordon College concert was with the BodyWorks Band there's a good chance I was there too, driving the "camper" and snapping some photos.

I just heard Ukrainian Now, and I'm all in tears. Though you did not write the song itself, I know you took a huge part in organizing the artists, editing images and made it a beautiful piece. Thank you! And I'm waiting for yet another chance to see you in person perhaps next year...

Wow, Andi! Ukrainian Now has only been available for a couple hours. You may be the first to have seen it. Thank you so much for letting us know. (And you are correct about Noel's effort to make it all come together so nicely. He burned a fair number of midnight candles working on it.)

I was so happy to be at the Grammy Museum on Friday. I'd love to send Noel a note - where should I mail or email it?

Noel, thank you for the song, April Fool. For decades your faith journey has challenged my own, your willingness to both embrace and affirm God at work in so many dark corners has set me to looking as well. Thanks for being open along the way.

What a nice song, especially around the Easter holiday. Karla Thibodeau does her lovely harmony vocals throughout all of the Bodyworks recordings and she blends so well with Noel's voice. Have you seen the video Noel made a couple years ago? https://youtu.be/M-sTR98xoXE Thank you very much for your note, Mikal.

My wife and I saw PPM in the round at Westbury on Long Island in about 1988. I sang every word of every song that night with the 4 of you (PPM + Dick Kniss) and loved it so much we bought 4 tickets for the next night and brought the kids. They knew most of the words, too. What a joy to watch you live. Thank you, almost beyond words, for the music you added to my family's lives.

Thanks for signing the guestbook, Larry, and for that wonderful memory. Isn't it fascinating how multi-generational the songs of P,P&M are?! You picked the right word to sum up their concert performances, "Joy". Thanks also for remembering "the band", bass player, Dick Kniss. And how special that there were always songs that focused on the young, (and young-at-heart,) in the audience. Glad to hear that you and your family were among them.
