Hi Noel,
My family and I really enjoyed the February 23 concert at Oasis, and wanted to thank you for bringing such passion and joy to to the performance that evening. We have been fans for many years, and are especially now enjoying the NPS At Home CD/DVD at our home which we bought at intermission. Thank you from all of us for keeping the faith and for all your good work in these troubled times.
I Just got my DVD of the at Home Tour. I love it! It is great watching him perform. My only regret is the camera men did not widen the view as to let us guitarists, whonwant to learn his songs, see more of what Noelnis playing. Noel has posted a few videos on the web that shows his chords and picking along with a personal tutorial on Cue The Moon. There are a few I would like to learn to play at coffee shops in PA... Facets of the Jewel, The Lady Says, the love in you and cabin fever waltz... if anyone has links to videos showing Noel's guitar playing please let me know. Thank you. I can play quite of few of his already, Every Flower with the great intro, Turn It Over, I Wanna Testify, and started learning Miracles off his album... and some others written out... Brian from PA
Dear Noel,
My first PP&M concert I can recall was about 1963 or so at Santa Monica Civic Auditorium. Now, following your concert on February 23 at Oasis, I got to meet and shake hands with you outside the green room. My wife Julie and adult daughter Jennifer and I were very moved by your music that evening (literally to tears at times). And we're so sorry for your loss of your friend and compatriot Peter Yarrow, whose passing was so recent. We were fortunate to have seen you and Peter play together on April 27, 2024 at the Cerritos Center, and I'll always treasure the memory of that performance too. And now the CD/DVD of your Maine tour (NPS At Home) is playing almost constantly at our house since the Feb 23 show.
So thanks for all you do to keep the faith (you might say) in these very troubled and difficult times. As you must know, you are and have been truly a lifetime inspiration for so many of us.

Hi Paul, My question is twofold —1.On the Song Somethin Special who is Gene Davis?
Also ,who sometimes replies to your fan mail for you?
Hi Paul - I was the crazy old Groupie who came into the Green Room at the 2/25/25 Oasis concert! Forgive my brashness, but I couldn't refrain from connecting with you. As I mentioned, I grew up minutes away from you in Birmingham, MI, and we are exactly one month apart. Also connected by Michigan State. I have been writing songs since I was eight years old - over 100 now - and lately I'm writing political ones that match your views. I would absolutely love to send you one. Would that be possible? (Like they say, "If you don't ask, you don't get!")
Absolutely loved your concert and your very genuine and likeable personality. Thanks for just being you! Marlene
Deal Noel. Your concert tonight was wonderful. I grew up listening to and singing all of the songs in the PP&M songbook. Tonight and when I play them at home I always get tearful, and it brings me back to summer camp and my idealistic teenager/college days. Who would have thought that we now would have to start over again to bring kindness, caring and humanity to the world. Your words and singing/playing are still very inspirational. Thank you for the beauty and power of your music.
Hello Mr. Stookey, As well as most remember you in concert at a venue, you gave us our own concert at Goss Park in little Lyndeborough, NH when I was about 6 years old or about 1970. As a matter of fact, I sat in your lap when you played Puff The Magic Dragon and Stewball. You also picked guitar with my older sister. I didn't know you were famous then, I just knew I loved the music. The album you produced that came from the locals in that era is still a favorite. Our kids bought me the CD called "No Moulding" for my birthday a few years back. My 2 record albums were worn out. The first album was bought at the Village Store. The second one I requested to you in 1985 and Stu Davis sent it to me in California.
PP&M has always been a part of us. I love the song "Lemon Tree"! Something so simple came out brilliant. "The Wedding Song" is just plain beautiful. Music like yours is still a real feeling. It isn't just noise and words. It has meaning, heart and rhythm.
So very sorry for the loss of your friend, Mr. Yarrow. The world has lost yet another voice that was heard while they were here and will always be remembered when we listen.
Dear Noel, I was born in San Francisco in 1960 and was raised on Peter Paul & Mary music. In September of 1978, just as I was about to enter UC Berkeley, I saw PP&M at the Concord Pavilion during your reunion tour--still one of the best concerts I have ever seen. After that, I saw PP&M virtually every time they came to the San Francisco Bay Area. For 18 years, beginning in 2005, I attended the Kingston Trio Fantasy Camp in Scottsdale, AZ, where from 2005-2007, I got to perform with Nick Reynolds and John Stewart, and later became friends with Bob Shane, Kingston Trio member George Grove, and Travis Edmonson, who were also at the camps. (The final camp was this past summer.) Folk music has brought me so many friends and happy times. Thanks so much for the memories.
Dear Paul,
In these depressing times I have taken to listen to the music of the 60's and 70's in which I grew up and, of course, that led me to listening to Peter, Paul and Mary. I also just listened to your interview on 'The Goodness Exchange". You inspire me! In 1970 or 71, I forget which, I went to one of our concerts in Columbus, OH. Afterwards, I went backstage with some of my friends and heard you speak about your faith. I was so inspired, I asked you if you would come our our "small college for small Christians" and share your story? That school was Capital University. You paused, and then said, "I tell you what, if it is raining tomorrow, call me at my hotel and I'll come out and speak"! I couldn't believe it! The next morning, it was raining buckets! I called the hotel. It took me three tries to get through to you, but you answered. You remembered our conversation and you came! It was one of the highlights of my life. Thank you!
Condolences to you and the team on the death of an old friend.
Can you tell us anything about you and the group's connection to Denis Wilson? He passed in Jan 2019. I studied and worked alongside hi for many years.
I'm planning to do a series of educational videos on Kundalini, due in part to the massive disinformation getting so many young people into trouble. Might there please be any way to license or gain permission to use a bit of a song?
Kind thanks and warm smiles.
Hi Paul,I have a Question, How did you meet Mary and Peter?
I wrote an article this month about lemon trees, inspired by the recent death of Peter, as well as my first Peter, Paul & Mary concert at Carnegie Hall - 1960's. Many more concerts followed - as I relocated around the US, eventually settling here in San Diego, where coincidentally, you are performing soon; and I wouldn't miss that for the world. Please read my short article as it highlights P,P & M, and folk-music's effect on the human condition - and lemons. https://www.sdhortnews.org/post/trees-please-when-life-gives-you-lemons Maybe you can sing a new song about lemon trees?
I am so sorry about the passing of Peter. You and he (and Mary) created such magic together.
I notice your upcoming events do not include anything in the Northeast. I had hoped to see you in CT and MA last year. Any plans for any events in this part of the country?
Thank you
Who was the guitarist riffing on Early Morning Rain? I'm not sure what version it is - heard in on a streaming service. Somehow, I never appreciated that great playing before. Thanks for all the joy over the last 60+ years that I have been a fan.
I am only 35 years old but I grew up on y’all’s music. I thought you were from Maine.
Who were your earliest influences in music?I Definitely see you as a versatile musician .
Hi Noel. I'm a lifelong PP&M fan-- my first record was your "In Concert" in 1964. Truly sad to hear about Pater's passing a short while ago. Over the years I've been to about 10 PP&M concerts, the first 2 or 3 were at Yale Bowl in New Haven. I recall riding my bike out to the Bowl to buy a single ticket one year, and when I got back to the house, my father said he saw you three walking through our new housing project. How could I have missed that!! But my most memorable concert was in 2009 at the Bushnell in Hartford. Mary was battling with the Leukemia return and was seated in special chair, along side an oxygen tank. As was your custom, your second act started with Peter leading the audience in "Oh, Rock My Sole". That was the one he did on my first album. Then you did your piece at the front edge of the stage, with the curtain down behind you... presumably to let Mary get help to get back to her special chair. Then Mary beautifully sang "The First Time, Ever I Saw Your face", singing to the left backstage area. She lived in CT, and her husband was standing in the wings. It was very emotional; a very memorable experience for my wife and I. A few months later we learned of Mary's passing. Quite an experience. Thank you for decades of wonderful and inspirational music. We could really use your inspiration today! Hope you are well, love to see you again some time.

I've been meaning to write this for years.
In my youth when I had favorites, I had two favorite albums. One was the first Gordon Bok album on Verve, and the other was the first Paul WInter Consort album on A&M. It took me years to realize there was one person's name in common in the two. That was the producer; different genres, different labels, but the same person produced both of them. And that person was known to me because he was famous as being part of a musical trio that I also really liked. And he had a sense of humor. "Paul Talk" from a Live album really appealed to my adolescent male sensibilities.
I still have, listen to, and love those albums. I took a picture of them laid out, but you don't have an upload capability here.
Thank you for your work beyond the more publc portions. You clearly did not hide the talents you were given under a rock.
I met both Mr. Bok and Mr. Winter when they toured here. Mr. Winter was somewhat surprised that someone (me) knew that Ballad in 7/8 from that album was stolen from Bartok, who stole it from Hungarian peasants.
I'm curious as to the other albums you have produced
Noel- long, long, long ago, 3rd year of college and my introduction to Faith--1973. Grew up "None". Jesus was a swear-word and was in the same box as the Easter Bunny and Santa. I had been listening to PPM through the late sixties. I wrote you a letter, hoping that you could sing There Is Love. You wrote back, explaining that the song was for Peter.
I've lost family members, and a few friends from college. Never one so close as Peter. Thankfully, you will be singing with Mary and Peter again. I will enjoy that.

Noel, I am deeply saddened to hear of the loss of Peter Yarrow, your brother in music and spirit. I will always remember and will carry and share his music and messages of peace, social consciousness, respect, care and love. Peter was a beacon of light that lit up generations and still does I am so fortunate to have shared a part of his journey to build character education in schools around the world and support a powerful anti-bullying curriculum, (Operation Respect), launched from a simple song “Don’t Laugh at Me”. When there was a cause, “Peter would lead the charge with a song”. Peter is now with Mary, Dick and Paul (the band) and I am sure he is making sound checks in the heavenly hall. Peace and love Mark.
