Capricious Bird

The heart is a capricious bird
She wanders where she will
And if the soul were not her home
She would be wandering still
The soul provides a shelter for
The mending of our wings,
And inspiration for the songs
Our hearts have learned to sing
(ahhhhh)
Through many storms and sorrows
Our restless hearts have learned
To draw the joy from sadness
Each time that they return
Rejoice my heart; be thankful
For your freedom in the wild
And for the soul's attention
When you are reconciled.
(ahhhhh)
The heart is a capricious bird
She wanders where she will
And if the soul were not her home
She would be wandering still
Amen
