Newest Release! Neworld SAMPLER
Neworld Sampler, curiously identified as being ‘hatched by a henhouse on the coast of Maine’, contains three songs each from four singer/songwriters, John Stuart, Peter Campbell, Kevin Roth and Noel Paul Stookey. As Noel explains, the rich history of the South Blue Hill henhouse has produced an incredible arc of creativity that had its beginning in the mid 70’s. Among those contributing to the creative Neworld dream were three special souls who had traveled from near and far.

It is said that people become more like themselves with age, and with the release of this new album—a decidedly jazzy exploration of both traditional and contemporary material—the 86-year-old Stookey seems increasingly comfortable in his own skin. “My attempt to infuse folk music with what might be considered unusual chord structures has always focused on fulfilling what I see as the promise of a lyric’s emotional content.”
